Sandburg Keeper Petry Named to All-Region IV Men's Soccer Team

Carl Sandburg College goalkeeper Felipe Petry (Barao, Brazil/Instituto Estadul de Educacao) has been named to the All-Region IV Division I men’s soccer team after putting together a strong freshman season in net for the Chargers.
Petry led Sandburg netminders with 13 games played (nine starts) totaling 550 minutes, while also finishing first among Chargers with 39 saves. He posted a 1.64 goals against average and a .796 save percentage. Petry also was the winning keeper of record in four of Sandburg’s five victories.
Petry didn’t concede a goal in seven outings, four of which were starts. He recorded a 90-minute clean sheet in the Chargers’ 2-0 victory over Daley on Sept. 21.
